4. Baobabs, Chitake. Mana Pools National Park, Zambezi Valley. Zimbabwe
Exhibition 2011 42cm x 59cm watercolour
SOLD
These baobabs, catching the evening sun, grow on a hill rise surrounded by bits of broken pottery, evidence of a settlement prior to the creation of the Mana Pools National Park when residents were moved out of the Zambezi Valley up the Escarpment. Close to a spring, animals congregate in the dry season in great numbers and prides of lion stake out the area.
